Turning a Glue Gun Into a 3D Printer
Today we are putting 3D printing filament into a hot glue gun to see if we can make a 3D print pen! Will this actually work??

THANK YOU!! ✌️👑
How else should we experiment with 3D printing??
Make more vids with Nate & Callie. Get rid of grace
@The King of Random - candy laces (licorice? red licorice?) thru 3D printer, glue gun
3d print a gun
Instead of making PLA glue sticks you should try cutting them and put them all together and see if it works the same
You should try to melt down the plastic you use for the 3D printer (with a stovetop or the oven) and design a funnel-like pen and draw with that see what you can make!
It’s cool, but I miss when y’all did forges, fireworks, and flamethrowers
I'm sure someone mentioned this somewhere, but the very first 3D printer has been made with glue gun to print a toy frog.
please create a homunculus
Don't you just love the plastic smell
Hey you finally read my glue gun idea yeah
Use a torch and filaments to do 3d welding.
Love how comfy callie looks
recycle plastic soda bottle to 3d filament to glue gun maybe possible?
BTW what printer u have(3D printer)
Just get a 3D pen
:(
No what have u done to the intro
Needs a ptfe tube to use the standard filament
Can you feal stretch Armstrong with Oobleck
I'm curious, what 3d printed do you have?
2:04 that’s what she said
думал сопле-пистолет присобачат к каретке 3d пирнтера, распечатают там новый тип экструдера для стиков. А фигушки, тут просто поиграются в 3д ручку сопле пистолетом. Ребят ну кликбейт же
Use a carpet hot glue gun. They get much hotter which will make it actually print and not flop out.
Nate is it your kid.
It’s ironic how you need a 3D printer to make the hot glue gun a 3D printer
Ooooi could make a mould so that I could just buy the filament and melt it into the mold
Calli I love you.
Are you guys dating???
I remember Tkor getting millions of views now it’s getting a few thousand
can you make a pool with a hotgleugun???
Shortcut name of the king of random sounds like a superhero Thor 🤯
I miss the tkor where they built all sorts of stuff like the arrow heads and the resin table 😔
Fascinating!
With PLA. ideally use a print fan. So have a fan blowing on the workspace.
1:31 is that a spool that has it's filament dangling?
Finally something interesting.
Jlaser already did this
Difinitivamente los aliens siguen enviando naves a la tierra para encontrar vida inteligente y solo encuentran borregos idiotizando a otros borregos.
When you have some misprinted areas on your 3d model you can fix them with these
People imitating machines. (...sigh...)
Can you 3d print a gun?
The large sticks of PLA have too much mass to melt sufficiently fast in the gun's heat chamber to keep up with your extrusion rate. You're better off opening the housing and installing a metal tube (perhaps a cutoff from a stainless steel straw) into the heat chamber to narrow the bore with a screw or two to hold it in place and using the spooled filament.
I made a boat with a glud gun about a year and a half ago. I am the michael angelo of glue guns.
As a bored 10 year old, I remember really wanting a 3D pen, but my parents said I had to wait for my birthday, which was months away and being the impatient child I was, cut the long part of a plastic clothing hanger and stuck it in a hot glue gun, I remember being so surprised that it worked, but I could never use that hot glue gun for anything else ever again!
I like the videos that are not based around food. Which like 80% of new videos that come out see to be as such....
You could just increase the heat that take some time to rewrite everything but it could work better. Whatever this is a video for me to do once I finish school.
Nice experment
next time use a glue stick as a filament...for 3d printer
Jazza Do art with this challenge yeet
Can you run a normal hot-glue stick through afterwards to sort of "clean it out"? Like how the old method of cleaning out a meat grinder is using old bread afterwards.
Hi
3d pens aren't even that expensive and are literally the same thing.
If you can use pla in a hot glue gun you use a hot glue stick in a 3d printer
Nice
Something is different about her I just can’t put my finger on it 🤔
Can you use those 3D printed objects to cast in metal?
Pla stick
King of random can u 3d print a tiny war siren for me on my birthday pls and if your wondering its june 10 this year ok
PLA STICK= Plastic. That was so smart
"I can die happy now" "THAT'S what it takes?!?!" Lol
I wonder if you could get some kind of metal tube with an outer diameter of a gluestick and inner diameter of the PLA filament to work as an adapter
Okay...I know I'm not going to be the only one to say this...and, I love Callie, with ALL MY HEART.....but - wasn't the whole idea to BYPASS using a REAL 3-D printer? In theory, what would be the point? Love your guys' work!! Thank you, for everything that you do. Cheers, from TX.!! :)
Kind of interesting but if you have to 3d print the sticks before you can use the method that kills the main use for me. Not having to buy a 3d printer.
You should try to melt down the plastic you use for the 3D printer (with a stovetop or the oven) and design a funnel-like pen and draw with that see what you can make! I'm not one to usually go around begging for likes but like if you agree.
Technically it wouldn't be printing more like drawing you made a 3D crayon
I'm so glad you'll made this video, I found a bundle of PLA brown filament at a scrap dealer, I'm gonna make this n use that
I can die happy :) Nate: Is that all it takes hahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!
Princess tea party 🍵 for Cali 😁... With 🔥🧨... That's all it takes to make her happy.
This is great. I just learned the other day that I can use my soldering iron at 260°C to "weld" together my 3d prints, this is gonna come in so handy though! Like mig welding.
You should build an actual 3D printer with this that can automatically execute gcode. This is more of a 3D pen.
It’s more like a 3D pen because it’s not a CNC machine
One of a couple things could be happening with one of our favorite host. I would like to know if I'm right.
Congratulations
I like my 3d printing pen, but it's just not in the shape of gun....and I'd like to remove the ability to dial in the temperature accurately...and I definitely don't want a consistent feed rate driven by a motor...and if possible it shouldn't be able to do this detailed of work...and how about a forearm workout mixed in... Introducing the 3d printing gun!
Ive been 3D printing with glue sticks (using a glue gun) since the third grade... GIT ON MA LEVEL!
Is it possible to make some edible diy projects with some homemade candy sticks using using the hot glue gun
Nate is the pun genius
try using 3d printer to stick some material with each each other
I was pretty impressed with your PLA stick joke, Nate.
You can tell she knows about 3D printers! I love it!
Please never replace her
Calli looks swollen 😕
From what I under stand you need a three d printer to make this work
Or you can use it to glue 3D printed parts together ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Try making one long glue stick
Printing filament of hot glue stick is the most over-effort and ridiculous thing you guys ever made.
I like the new background for the video explanation
Someone getting comfy
Pla stands for polylacric acid
do more 3d printing
Cool
That's a 3d pen with extra steps
If you don't happen to have a $25 3D pen, use a $2500 Taz 6, to make sticks for your $20 hot glue gun.
Who else is watching because they want to see if its possible to print a lower on a gun with that? Lol
215 C = 419 F
That's like using a 3D pen with a bunch of extra steps.
Plz see how many stuff you can destroy with glue sticks
I printed a glue stick so you can 3D print with the 3D printing glue stick
Gluestik would need massive cooling then you might get better result. I've heard people use Gluestik if w part or support breaks free mid print.
Nate started to think about it that at 4:20 when he said it he actually was very proud about it and I love it😂😂. The joke also did make me chuckle. ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭
Try to make a big bowl
Try making 2 3D printed things and seeing if they stick together by using your pla stick hot gluegun creation.
I gotta ask. Is Calli having a boy or a girl?
Maybe melt the PLA with hot water (or an oven) and the cast the molten plastic in some sort of pvc/steel pipe.
