    Elizabeth BoswellElizabeth Boswell18 күн мурун
    • It's true that snow is toxic and you shouldn't EVER eat it but the thought of it lighting on fire is false because although there is fuel droplets in snow it's not possible to set it on fire.

  • Don't most people blow on spoon/fork-fulls of the food not the whole thing? Obviously with hot pockets, it's not exactly the same, but I imagine the purpose would be spot-cooling where one is about to bite rather than cooling the whole thing.

  • blowing on your food always seems to work.....i mean people have been doing that for years to cool off there food before they eat it, so idk why it wouldn't work. for hot pockets it might be a different story because they always say to have it cool off a bit before you eat it, but i guess if you bite off alittle corner then blow in the center of it, then it might work.

  • New video idea: Can you make maple syrup from sap without heating it up so that the final product is clear? My family thinks the renowned golden color comes from the sugar being caramelized by heat. We were wondering if there was a way to "boil off" the extra liquid without causing the sugar to caramelize, resulting in clear maple syrup. (Maybe using pressure like you did in your "How to hold boiling water in your hands" video?)

  • first : english is not my mother language so if i make any mistake please don't mock on me second: i don't know if someone already wrote this, and i'm not a scientist so don't trust my word , make your researchs The reason why this works (and also the reason why it works better with liquids) is because by blowing on something, you drastically reduces the relative umidity in that area , so the hot moist air wants to compensate for this and escapes the food. if the hot moist air leaves the food has also the side effect to cool down the food it self , it's the same principle used by air conditioner , actually they are not cooling air(actually yes but a reallyu low amount) , but they're drying it

    Giorgio ArmignaccoGiorgio Armignacco28 күн мурун
  • it does help airflow and the air thats slightly hotter is moved away to cool down while there is new cooler (room temperature) air in contact with the food so YES

If the soup on a metal spoon cooled well then using a larger metal spoon with a lot of surface area on the handle and then blowing on the handle while stirring will be better. I think I'll try that next hot chocolate I make!
